Morbius is an upcoming film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It will be the fifth installment in the Amazing Spider-Man series overall.[2]

Film synopsis

Horror action story of a scientist who, in trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transformed himself into a living vampire who, though disgusted by his own bloodlust, chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.[3]


Production history

In November 2017 Morbius was announced, with a script written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama.[2] On June 27, 2018, Daniel Espinosa was announced to be the director for the project with Jared Leto starring.[1] They later on announced they would start filming in Febuary of 2019.
