Production history

In June 2013, Sony Pictures announced it had set release dates for the next two Spider-Man films. The third film was scheduled to be released on June 10, 2016, and the fourth was scheduled to be released on May 4, 2018.[1]

Andrew Garfield stated that his contract is for three films, and is unsure of his involvement for the fourth film.[2]

In March 2014, Marc Webb told The Daily Beast in an interview that he won't be directing the fourth film but would be involved as a consultant for the film.[3]

Later that month, Webb has talk to E! Online there's a possiblible on seeing Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman in a future film.[4]

In April 2014, Den of Geek reported that the Spider Slayers and Black Cat are line up for future films.[5]

In July 2014, it was reported that the film would be delayed to an unknown date.[6]
